What do you most love about teaching?
There is so much I love about teaching! Most of all, I love watching the students blossom throughout the school year. I also love doing project-based learning and having a student-centered classroom! This allows me to honor the students' voice, choice, and learning style. They are able to show their learning through their talents and passions, and this helps them to make meaningful connections to the real world.

Why are you passionate about supporting fellow teachers?
I am passionate about supporting fellow teachers because I remember what it felt like to be a new teacher. I did my student teaching at Magruder Primary and Epes Elementary, and I remember feeling an outpouring of support from teachers at all grade levels. I hope that I can provide my fellow teachers with the same feeling. Also, I love to collaborate with teachers! It helps me to get ideas, and it gives me time to reflect on my classroom practices.

Why do you love working in NNPS?
I love working for NNPS because I am a product of NNPS! As a student, NNPS prepared me for college. As a teacher, NNPS allows me to explore my talents, passions, and abilities in the classroom. NNPS also has provided me with a plethora of opportunities for growth and professional development. NNPS rocks!
