What do you most love about teaching?
I love helping to create a love for learning and exploring in our youngest learners. They come to school like little sponges ready to soak up everything you teach and share with them. It is wonderful to see them begin to take ownership of their learning and to have the confidence to experiment and try new things.
What makes NNPS a great school division?
NNPS is committed to learning and developing to meet the needs of all students. There are tons of opportunities available to support the learning of both teachers and students.
Why do you love working in NNPS?
NNPS really supports teachers and their growth as learners. There are lots of opportunities for professional development and advancing your education.

What do you most love about teaching?
I love the excitement children show when they experience something new. Sometimes they do not even realize they are learning; they think they are just having fun. Working in the Pre-K program has shown me that children have so much energy and enthusiasm about learning, which is just wonderful!
What makes NNPS a great school division?
When I decided to go back to school to get my Master's degree and teaching certification after being an assistant teacher for six years, NNPS was extremely supportive. I was so excited that two years later, I was able to continue to work here as a teacher. I had seen through the years, not only with my own children but with the classrooms I have worked in, that NNPS offers many support systems for students, families, and teachers. This is truly a school division that believes in working to help provide the best programs for everyone.
Why are you passionate about supporting fellow teachers?
I believe that we work as a team. There is a quote by author Jim Stovall that sums up why I am passionate about supporting my fellow teachers. "You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins." I believe that we all need to support each other and collaborate to develop the best environment and learning experiences for all students.
